About

I am a slightly artsy, slightly craftsy graphic designer, wife, momma. I have been doing freelance graphic design since 2004. I love making things look like they should look; like they deserve to look. I love combining the best of the computer with the best of handmade/natural elements in my graphic design work, it brings warmth, authenticity and relatability to the piece. I fancy myself as a creative problem solver, whether it comes to communicating visually through graphic design what the client is saying through words, fixing my sons toys that break or making toys from scratch, coming up with new and exciting business ideas for myself or others, cooking a meal slightly healthier than the recipe calls for while still maintaining and increasing the wow factor of the flavor, seeing an object and figuring out how to make it myself with out a pattern or instructions all the while trying to improve on the original.

This blog is meant to focus mainly on graphic design and art/crafts. These areas can often be very intertwined with all other areas of my life and I don’t intend to separate them so you can expect to see topics such as family, gardening, cooking/baking, and my love for Jesus trickle their way into this blog.

    Hi Debbie,

Thanks for your beautiful site. I found it looking for tips for stacking clipboards in an upright and sturdy way. I teach elementary school and use a lot of clip boards, and see that you are doing something nifty with a separated box — any practical tips? I live in Mexico and have access to cardboard mostly, not much else.

    Thanks,

    Serena

    Hello Kelly,

I stumbled upon your etsy page and followed it here!

I love your new woodcuts! It’s so great to see someone who wants to honor the Lord with her gifts. I just graduated from university recently and am pursuing a graphic design career. Did you work for a company at one point in time or have you always freelanced?

What you’re doing is what I’d like to do one day: get to a point of stable freelancing from home if God blesses me with a husband and kids.

Wishing you the best in your designs and creations!

    Blessings,
    Laura
